Welcome to the Califur website. We here at Califur are trying to create something new and different, a different kind of con for a different kind of fandom, and we hope to succeed and make something that is fun for everyone. Califur will be occurring May 28, 29, 30, 2004, in Irvine, California at the Atrium Hotel directly across from John Wayne Airport.

Our goal here at Califur is to provide a safe and fun environment for all furs who wish to come. This convention will be a relaxacon of sorts. We are not planning to be a very large convention, we just want to be a fun convention. We want to be the convention that people look forward to every year, not for large amounts of programming, but for the room parties and the great furs to meet and talk to. Of course, that doesn't mean we don't have programming. It just means our programming track is small enough that you can see everything without feeling rushed or busy.

Chairman's Welcome -
     "Welcome to our webpage, we are a new, smaller con that hopes to be the con you all want. Six months ago people told us it could never be done. Plan a furry convention with no budget in almost no time? “Ha! Impossible!” they said. Well, we are proving them wrong. We have several high profile guests including a couple that we can't mention on the site. But hey, what is a con without surprises right? This being said, welcome. Even if you cant attend, buy a supporting membership. It's only $15 and you'll be doing your part to make sure the convention succeeds!"
